The Real Property and Environment Branch (RPEB) is a dynamic and forward-looking corporate services organization that aims to ensure that NRCan has optimal real property assets that enable the delivery of world class science programs while balancing sustainability and affordability. IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED, YOUR APPLICATION MUST CLEARLY EXPLAIN HOW YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING (ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS)

Education:
E1: Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized post-secondary institution in Power Engineering Tech, Power and Process Operations, or with an acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Degree equivalency
Occupational Certification:
Alberta 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher (or equivalent certification from another province or Territory in Canada).
Experience:
EX1: Experience in maintenance and operation of building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), low-pressure boilers and related equipment (i.e. centrifugal pumps, chemical pumps, pneumatics and control valves)
EX2: CALGARY - Experience in Siemens Desigo Building Automation System
EX3: EDMONTON - Experience in Johnson Controls Metasys Building Automation System
EX4: Experience in working with computer associated software including email, Excel, MS Word, MS Teams
EX5: Experience in performing preventative maintenance of facility equipment
EX6: Experience in customer service with clients, 3rd parties, and contractors

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will work as part of the facilities management team to provide building maintenance which supports the delivery of scientific research by our clients, as well as, 24/7 standby coverage to ensure continuous operation of critical systems.
