Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
We’re currently looking for software engineers with experience in verification (in accordance with RTCA/DO-178C DAL A objective) to support the certification of M-RTOS, MANNARINO ARINC 653 real-time operating system.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of aerospace industry experience in verification and validation (in alignment with RTCA/DO-178C objectives).
Experience with using the C programing language for embedded applications
Experience with using the Python programming language (for test automation)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Good understanding of operating system level of the software stack, knowledge of multiple processors architectures (Arm, PowerPC….) is an asset.
Experience with hardware debug probes (experience with Lauterbach products an asset)
Experience with developing and maintaining test automation framework with CI/CD tools (experience with Atlassian Bamboo is an asset).
Kernel development is an asset
Basic understanding of data structures.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Miscellaneous Requirements
Work can be done remotely.
For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America).

Responsibilities:
Influencing overall V&V strategy by helping define product features, enabling QA during design, and spearheading best practices to enable a quality product.
Develop, run and review test cases and automated procedures.
Develop and review technical analyses in support of the verification activities (structural coverage, memory margin….)
Working with the M-RTOS design and development team to understand the product, troubleshooting failures and proposing corrective actions.
Defining mechanisms and metrics to determine and drive improvements to test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the catalog.
