The team:
Canada Operations domain team aims to deliver the expertise which helps Murex customers in the region, providing a range of services, including support, training, evolution of the platform, and the implementation of new modules. The modules and processes in the scope of the Operations domain team relate to the back-office activities of our clients, such as transaction lifecycle, legal documentation (SWIFT, paper format), settlement, and collateral management, among others.
What you’ll do:
As a operations technical analyst in the Murex Canada office Operations and Finance team, you will work closely with our clients which are major banks, hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies, corporate and other players in the capital markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on Murex best practices in the organizational modelling in MX.3, transaction lifecycle management, confirmation and matching of transactions, settlements, accounting, collateral and position management
- Contributing to client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements, and performing quality assurance tests
- Providing client support, including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities
- Communicating development needs to the Murex product development team
- Providing internal and external training
Who you are:
- 0-2 years of experience in technology for capital markets or the banking industry ·
- Strong academic background in technology, finance, engineering, or business
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, XSL, or basic programming is preferred
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle of financial products · Familiarity with accounting for financial products is a plus
- Systematic problem solver with critical thinking abilities
- Fluent written & oral English is necessary
- Strong presenter and effective communicator
