JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring efficient and effective management of all programs and activities. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to drive the success of the academy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a sports or educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and expense control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling software.
  • Passion for basketball and youth development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all basketball programs and activities.
  • Ensure all programs are delivered to the highest standard and meet the needs of participants.
  • Develop and manage the program schedule, including training sessions, camps, and tournaments.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the academy.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Oversee billing, payments, and financial reporting.
  1. Sales
  • Present to clients in order to close deals
  • Do up invoices and update slides if needed
  • Generate leads such as cold-calling, warm leads, via social media etc
  1. Marketing and Promotion:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new participants and retain existing ones.
  • Manage the academy’s social media presence and website content.
  • Coordinate promotional events and community outreach activities.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided to all participants and their families.
  • Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain effective communication with participants, parents, and stakeholders.
  1. Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all programs and activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety drills.
