POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our security company. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of security protocols, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery. This role requires effective management of personnel, resources, and client relationships to ensure the smooth functioning and growth of our operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in management, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications; experience with security management systems is a plus.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (G) and clean driving record.
- Position requires fluency with the English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Russian or Hebrew is an asset
Shift Schedule:
- Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Shift Types: Day shift, Morning shift, Evening shift
- Additional Considerations: Holidays and Weekends as needed
- Flexibility: On call availability
- Overtime: Available when necessary
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all operational activities, including scheduling, staffing, and deployment of security personnel.
- Develop, enact, and supervise security policies and procedures for the site.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high levels of security and safety for clients and their assets.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns promptly and effectively to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as HR and finance, to ensure seamless integration of operations with overall company objectives.
- Monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and productivity.
- Provide leadership and guidance to operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions and maintain our competitive edge.
- Conduct orientation and training sessions for all staff members as part of operational management responsibilities.
- Proficient in collaborating effectively within a team environment, while also capable of independent work when required.
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned or directed.
