Operation Technician

Typically:

• Undertakes activities on two or three machines or within two functional areas. Required to compose correspondence on a variety of subjects or to write routine reports, operating instructions or work specifications.
• Job holder executes a series of routine tasks, where choices based on comparisons need to be made, with a focus on recording. Working without close support from senior staff. Activities are mainly routine.
• Job holder performs tasks according to instructions that provide some space for own interpretation. Solutions for deviations are taught.
• Typically works on one complete (production) line or multiple (production) lines.
• Works under direct supervision of senior technician, lead or supervisor for moderately complex activities; given broad guidance on operational activities.
