  • Master’s Degree within a relevant discipline (marine archaeology, environmental coastal engineering, physics/oceanography, applied geophysics, survey & hydrography, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within one or more of the following:
  • Enviromental surveys
  • Cultural Heritage surveys
  • Geophysical and Geotechnical surveys
  • Near Shore Marine Operations
  • High focus on SSU, ethics and Equinor values.
  • Demonstrable commitment on safety, quality, cost and operational performance.
  • Ability to understand the market, the value chain and the project.
  • High focus on precision, quality and timely deliveries with the ability to handle responsibility and periodically high workload.
  • Multidisciplinary understanding and able to assist more than one project at the time.
  • Willingness to go offshore on 1-2 relevant campaigns per year, when workload allows it.
  • Fluent English-speaker and ability to communicate well in English both verbally and written. Norwegian language skills or willingness to learn would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to shaping the contract strategy for procurement of environmental services and be part of the evaluation team during tender processes.
  • Lead preparation of marine operations, ensuring that all activities related to mobilization and demobilization are consistently followed-up, and guarantee adequate experience transfer across projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Follow-up incidents and reporting during operations together with support functions such as key project personnel, SSU responsible and the operational manager in the marine operations group
  • Collaborate closely with the marine operations procurement and cost control teams.
  • Ensure that marine operation requirements are understood, implemented and followed-up
  • Collaborate with permitting and consenting team responsible to implement scope of work, quality control and deviations/non-conformities.
  • Systematically harvest and share experience for continuous improvement
