We are delighted to announce an opportunity for a Director of Operational Excellence and Digital Data to join the Site Leadership Team based in Dublin. This pivotal leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the Operational Excellence and Site Performance Program, advancing digital transformation initiatives, and supporting the formulation and achievement of site strategy and objectives.
The Dublin manufacturing site won the Gold Shingo Prize in August 2024, marking Ipsen’s second win after Signes in 2020. This accolade marks a significant milestone in our journey toward organizational excellence.
The Shingo Prize, known as the Nobel Prize for Manufacturing, honors organizations committed to operational excellence through effective management practices. Winning involves a thorough evaluation of adherence to the Shingo Model principles, including cultural enablers, continuous improvement, enterprise alignment, and exceptional results.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and driving change throughout the organization. This position involves working closely with the Site Leadership Team and collaborating with Operational Excellence champions The role requires someone who is not only theoretical but also practical, capable of leading workshops on mindset and behavior.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the operational excellence strategy in alignment with business objectives and site goals
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive accountability
  • Mentoring and developing a high-performing team of continuous improvement professionals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Driving change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of improvement initiatives
  • Promoting digital transformation and supporting the Digital and Data Team (DDAT) in defining strategy and prioritizing initiative
