The Operational Excellence Delivery Manager – Claims is responsible for driving operational efficiency within the Operational Excellence Program, specifically leading the workstream focused on Claims. The role will lead a series of initiatives. achieving customer experience, efficiency, and risk reduction targets. The role is key to enabling the Cover-More Operations Vision. This role involves collaborating across the functions to streamline processes, enhance customer service, and enable the company to achieve its growth targets.

So, what’s the job?

  • You’ll form part of the new Cover-More Operational Excellence Team.
  • You’ll lead the Claims Workstream to drive improved customer experiences and efficiency across the Claims Teams.
  • You’ll partner with the Head of Claims to define the Claims Operational Vision and roadmap and lead an Operational Excellence workstream to deliver the transformation.
  • You’ll identify, prioritize, and deliver a series of CI initiatives over the life of the program, maximizing value to the function, its customers, and employees.
  • You’ll be part of an agile, cross-functional delivery squad, including BPR, CX, technology, and Operations team members to deliver the program.
  • You’ll collaborate with technology to leverage technology enablers for optimizing redesigned processes and transforming customer experience, focusing on opportunities for automation and digitization of process.
  • You’ll partner with on and offshore stakeholders, creating a cross-functional and cross-location squad delivering amazing outcomes together.
  • You’ll lead workshops, drive initiatives, and solve problems. This is a hands-on role where you get to showcase all of your skills.
  • You’ll drive a culture of innovation and adaptability, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and approaches.
  • You’ll train and coach Continuous Improvement approaches and skills across the organization.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain high standards of operational risk management.
  • You’ll support and encourage a robust and efficient governance model for the program.

And what are we looking for?

  • You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • You’ll have proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • You’ll have experience in Claims transformation, process design, and/or automation.
  • You’ll have experience leading programs of work with responsibility for budgets.
  • You’ll have a record of delivering target benefits.
  • You’ll have ideally Lean 6Sigma BB certification.
  • You’ll have familiarity with other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • You’ll have experience with the use of digitization, automation, and RPA to deliver process improvements. Microsoft Power Apps experience would be valued.
  • You’ll have leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • You’ll have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You’ll have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
