We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Operational Resilience Strategic Tooling Lead.

Role Purpose:

  • Operational Resilience sits within the Chief Control Office. This consists of five functional teams, focused on Assurance, Technology, Operations, and Multi-Function (Procurement, Third Party, Business Continuity and Incident Management, and Protective Security). There are also regional teams. Strong collaboration between these functions is key to the success of CCO.
  • Operational Resilience is relatively new to the CCO structure, and there is a need to build strong relationships to ensure that it is used as a lens in the control testing, review, and assurance process across the sub-functions.
  • Operational Resilience is a key priority for the organisation. The operational resilience team in DBS is responsible for shaping and delivering the strategy for operational resilience. Achieved through collaboration with global businesses, entities and functions and supporting business led change aligned to the group’s strategic objectives.

Opportunity

  • Within the Strategic Tooling & Data workstream for Operational Resilience global programme, key design decisions need to be made involving multiple stakeholder groups to assess and recommend tooling solutions that align to the Digitise Operational Resilience strategy.
  • You will be part of translating the strategic vision for architecture and value streams into a business reality
  • Build and maintain high level and detailed roadmaps across multiple existing workstreams and interlocking programmes
  • Maintain alignment between the strategic tooling and data pieces

Role attributes

  • Banking experience, especially knowledge of Operational Resilience & technology transformation
  • Experience working in global, multi-phase programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, proactive, used to delivering at pace – working independently is essential with majority of stakeholders at GCB 3 level
  • Experience chairing working groups with 20+ active participants, including moderation of SME and senior stakeholder discussions
  • Close work with technology and business/risk specialists – communication and facilitation of discussion between stakeholders is essential
  • Leading design workshops with multiple stakeholder groups across technology, entities, lines of business, architecture, data and risk & control
  • Delivery of an outcomes-focused assessment on potential tooling solutions to design authority in 6-8 week timeframe

Required Knowledge / Experience:

  • Business Analyst with consulting background: functional requirements, gap analysis & Clear Choice experience essential. Proven ability to execute for successful project delivery
  • Experience preferable
  • Experience of ServiceNOW or similar technology transformation highly preferable
  • Strong business and operational experience preferably gained in an international banking setting
  • Overall knowledge of regulatory landscape within global banking (specifically Operational Resilience)
  • Proven track record of working in a change environment, understanding transformation principles and working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Clear communicator with ability to articulate complex requirements in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong risk and control mindset, with appropriate commercial focus
  • Strong teamworking skills, ability to build and maintain good relationships with team members and stakeholders alike
