POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the leadership teams by growing the awareness and importance of Regulatory and Risk management activities.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are in place for the Department that you are responsible for, and perform risk assessments for data protection, supplier management and risk management programs.
  • Ensure maintenance of Departmental Obligation register and conduct proactive gap analysis reviews, leading to recommendations to reduce risk and maintain adherence.
  • Improve internal risk controls, detection & response capabilities and i dentify & report potential risks or inadequate controls related to compliance or operational risks.
  • Advise and lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review, testing and assurance for A&G’s Business Continuity Framework
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert in providing risk and compliance advice, expertise and education and manage the response to regulator requests and regulatory change.Support and coach team members where required including championing a culture of risk and compliance across the division.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience working within a similar position within the financial services industry preferable.
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships both internally and externally.Strong negotiation and influencing ability and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Supporting the Sales & Service leadership team, you will be delivering Auto & General’s Risk Management Strategy, ensuring Sales & Service complete and comply with all elements of the risk management framework.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of specific training and development initiatives designed to strengthen risk management activities.
  • Advise and lead the development, implementation and ongoing review, testing and assurance for A&G’s Business Continuity Framework, including, reviewing and analysing business impact assessments and assisting in the development of recovery plans.
