Operations Administrator
Position Summary
The Operations Administrator supports the Operations team in ensuring seamless workflows within the steel industry. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, enabling the Operations Administrator to effectively prioritize tasks, manage data entry, and meet deadlines consistently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position plays a crucial part in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in job site quotations, inventory allocation, and order processing. The Operations Administrator plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships internally and externally, coordinating shop drawing orders, and supporting various departments including Shipping and Receiving. This position is based in our Bowmanville Facility.

Position Functions

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Job site quotation data entry.
  • Quotation management in Salesforce, Document management in Google Drive.
  • Coordinate shop drawing orders.
  • Ensures orders are separated by Cut to Size – STOCK
  • Printing, Stamping of all shop bills. Ensuring shop bills are out in a timely fashion to ensure customer deadlines for shipment are met.
  • Preparation of Allocation/Cut sheets to shop floor
  • Provide Sales personnel assistance as required for Inventory Allocation
  • ERP order entry.
  • Allocates material by reviewing inventory screens and accessing best yield/application for Cut to Size orders. Perform calculations as required for cutting distribution.
  • Consistent communication between various roles within the department to complete various administrative tasks.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication through written correspondence, phone calls, and in-person interactions.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and enjoy multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions
The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting. On-going use of computers is required.
