Description:

  • Play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimising our day-to-day operations
  • Wiri based opportunity
  • Based at our new industry leading processing centre!
    Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
    At NZ Post, nothing gets in the way of delivering what our customers care about. In order to achieve this, we need data and insights we can rely on to ensure we have the right operational processes in place.
    As an Operations Analyst (internally we call this an Automation Sort Analyst), you’ll run automation sorting reports, analyse data and identify the cause of issues at our automated parcel sortation sites nationwide. Your analysis will ensure accuracy of parcel sortation and continuous improvement of our operations.
    Although this role is generally Monday to Friday during core hours, there will be times where you will be required to travel nationally to our other processing sites and/or to meet operational sortation requirements across our varying 24/7 shifts, so some flexibility is required at these times.
    As well as day to day business, there’s loads of exciting projects on the go at NZ Post, so it couldn’t be a better time to join us. Based in Wiri at our brand new processing centre, you’ll enjoy training and support from your team, as well as onsite parking and being part of a high performing team with opportunities to develop your skills and grow your career.
    Mōu - About you
    Help us elevate our operational processes to new heights! As our Operations Analyst, you’ll need strong Excel skills, the ability to pick up systems quickly and get a buzz from using data to solve real problems that will drive continuous improvement.
    You’ll be the type of person who rolls your sleeves up and gets stuck in, and ideally brings experience in an operational environment or an industry such as logistics or manufacturing. This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck staring at a spreadsheet all day - interpersonal skills are absolutely key. We need someone who can ask questions, can relate to a broad range of people across our organisation and have a positive, solutions focus.

You’ll couple this with;

  • Proven experience in operations analysis or a similar role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in utilising data analysis tools and software
