Description:
As an Operations Analyst reporting to the Manger of the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for supporting/administering/developing our Business Intelligence (BI) tools/platforms and Enterprise Reporting within United Surgical Partners, Inc (USPI). Your duties will include organizing data points into a reportable format, communicating between upper management and the data engineering team and analyzing data to help support the business. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Data & Analytics (BI) team, which includes project/team management, report design/development, support tickets, as well as recurring team tasks. The primary focus will be on supporting and managing field and corporate operations as it pertains to data, reporting and BI tools/applications.

- Experience using SQL Server, BigQuery, or similar data management apps to pull data from enterprise database/data warehouse environments.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence or another analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, business management, information technology, or related fields.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and provide data to support critical business initiatives and needs.
- Work closely with our Sr. Analyst, Manager, and stakeholders to obtain requirements for projects, provide end-user support and training on reporting and use of the Business Objects Suite as needed.
- Perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and solution development in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee the daily operations and development of the BI team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team and business stakeholders to ensure data is readily available to stakeholders and provide detailed requirements for any new data structures, updates or integration deemed necessary for enterprise reporting.
- Respond to and resolve IT/customer support tickets, ensuring timely responses and solutions to customer issues.
- Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability.
- Communicate statuses in a timely manner and assist/lead in identifying data-related problems and escalations as appropriate.
- Document all processes/activities and communicate these to the business intelligence stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly reporting for all divisions as assigned.
- Use various data and reporting applications such as Excel, SQL Server, BigQuery, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Squirrel to design, develop and support reports, dashboards, and other BI applications.
