Purpose:
The Operations Analyst will be primarily responsible for reporting, analysis and explanation of capital spending and operations performance.
This is a temporary role for a period of 24 months.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Support the operations reporting team through the analysis of volumes, capital, operating costs, and revenues
  • Gather data / information, complete analysis and provide explanations for capital and operating variances
  • Collaborate with business units to coordinate accurate and timely submission of accruals and analysis
  • Develop and present information to facilitate decision making at various levels within the Company
  • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting including updates to accruals and internal presentations
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual Management Discussion and Analysis
  • Produce data, reports and dashboards using applications such as Microsoft Cubes and Power BI
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information and analysis, assist with special projects as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Relevant post-secondary education is required, accounting designation considered an asset
  • Relevant oil and gas accounting and operations analysis experience is required, minimum 3 to 5 years
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Fluent in accounting and reporting applications including: Aucerna Execute (AFE Navigator), MS Cubes and MS D365
  • Highly motivated individual who shows initiative and is focused on achieving results while contributing to a positive, can-do culture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
