OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST

Carnegie China, Singapore
Carnegie China, the East Asia-based research center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking a full-time operations and administration specialist based in Singapore. This position will report directly to the Center Director.
The operations and administration specialist will manage the day-to-day operations of the center. Responsibilities will include leading the annual budget planning process; reviewing spending; ensuring timely payments; supporting financial audits; supporting fundraising and grants administration; handling compliance and regulatory issues in consultation with external advisors and Carnegie management; working with the DC-based Human Resources team on hiring, benefits, and other projects; coordinating payroll processing; onboarding new staff; interfacing with IT staff and vendors; responding to office services requests and coordinating maintenance. When fully staffed, this position may supervise 1-3 staff members.
The position requires five years’ of related experience and excellent English language ability. Candidates with excellent Chinese language ability are strongly preferred. The preferred candidate will have a related undergraduate degree. Outstanding communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be a well organized self-starter with excellent attention to detail who thrives in a team environment.
