Position Description:
Applied Medical Canada is seeking a dynamic and analytical Operations and Business Analytics Specialist to support our operations. This role will be instrumental in optimizing day-to-day operations, enhancing service delivery, and driving business improvements through data analytics. The ideal candidate will have the potential to grow within our company and support the National Operations Manager in various responsibilities.

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • More than five years of experience in a business information and intelligence role.
  • Strong business acumen and data analysis skills, with proficiency in data reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Perseverance in achieving goals. Ability and willingness to meet deadlines.
  • Independent and collaborative work capabilities, with potential for progressive responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Logistics.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, CRM software, and financial management tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, Python Programming, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Ability to present and explain complex concepts or calculations to management.
  • Self-starter who is motivated to learn new skills and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong, collaborative, and professional relationship-building skills.
  • French language proficiency is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to identify business improvement opportunities and support decision-making and business planning. Prepare and maintain dashboards and reports.

  • Process Optimization and Performance Reporting: Leverage strong business acumen and analytical expertise to streamline internal and external processes, as well as improve operational efficiency and stakeholder service excellence.

  • Business Plan Execution: Assist the Canada Operations Manager in planning and executing the business plan.
  • Project Management: Apply project management principles to ensure timely and successful implementation of initiatives and improvements.
  • Customer Service Collaboration: Work closely with the customer service team to enhance client engagement and resolve issues, using analytical insights to optimize service delivery.
  • Distribution and Logistics Support: Assist in the distribution and logistics operations, leveraging business analytics to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-Departmental Liaison: Ensure operational alignment with broader business objectives by collaborating across departments and providing operational support.
  • Team Contribution and Support: Provide support to the Customer Relations and Distribution teams as needed. Contribute to greater team’s success by achieving results as needed.
