WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you interested in moving into the renewable energy sector? If so, we have the perfect opportunity as we are looking for 2 Operations and Maintenance Assistants to join our fantastic team at Margam Renewable Energy on a 9 month fixed-term basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE TO SUCCEED

• Experience in the operation of mobile plant
• Lifting / slinging, plant or FLT certification
• Previous Process or Power Plant experience would be an advantage
• Computer literate

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, working on a 24/7 shift rota, you will be responsible for ensuring overall general site duties are undertaken, including general site operational and maintenance support and operating of heavy plant where appropriate. These activities should be done whilst fostering an ethos of maximum plant reliability, flexibility, availability.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To carry out day to day plant routines through full versatility and multi-tasking to achieve general plant duties.
• Ensure day to day plant compliance with all HSE and site housekeeping standards.
• To carry out preventative maintenance routines and assist with routine maintenance and operations as required.
• Support with traffic management, operating heavy plant, operation of overhead cranes, forklift trucks and any other machinery as required
• Carrying out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment, updating the shift log, including plant and process changes
• Assisting with all shutdown activities within the plant ensuring plant downtime is minimised
• Ensure that all defect reporting within CMMS is effective and followed through to completion promptly and that PPM’s are completed as required.
