Description:
Position: Operations and Transformation Manager (KTP Associate)
Based at: Buoyancy Aerospace, Barnoldswick, Lancashire
Salary: Up to £41,000
QUALIFICATIONS WE REQUIRE:
A 2:1 Hons qualification (or equivalent experience) in Operations Management, Business Technology, or a related degree, with specialisation in business process engineering, digital optimisation and continuous improvement.
An MSc or second qualification in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) would be advantageous.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A comprehensive understanding of business process reengineering
- Knowledge of digital solutions for the manufacturing industry, covering areas such as Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing, I4.0 & I5.0 technologies, and/or digital simulation tools to predict manufacturing performances
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing and operational environments
- An interest and aptitude for digital in: Software applications/Industrial protocols/Databases/Data Transformation/Dashboarding and interpretation of results/Statistical process control
- Time Management skills and the ability to self-motivate
- High level of motivation with the desire to develop and apply new knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and information handling skills
- Willingness to go through MoD/DBS check prior to commencement
Responsibilities:
An exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to work full time on a 2-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to develop operational management expertise that will enable the business to agilely and digitally scale operations to exploit new opportunities in the Aerospace, Defence, and Space sectors.
Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will work in a hybrid model, both from home and at Buoyancy Aerospace’s premises in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.
