Job Title: Operations Assistant (Level 2)
Location: G3 Wetaskiwin
The Operations Assistant (OA2) is responsible for performing duties related to handling grain throughout the Elevators/Terminal, which includes primary operation of grain cleaning systems, maintaining clean and efficient physical facilities, receiving, and handling grain shipments, and providing excellent customer service.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years Elevator and/or Terminal experience
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Level 2 grading or able to achieve within 6 months

Responsibilities:
- Operates grain cleaning equipment to ensure shipping specs are achieved and shipping accuracy is best in industry
- Highly engaged in forward planning in conjunction with Operations Manager and Senior Operations Assistants in regard to binning, receiving, shipping
- Receives grain by truck and/or rail, including weighing and documentation
- Samples grain by operating grain cleaning equipment to assess quality
- Bins and transfers grain with minimal supervision
- Ships grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives
- Provides friendly/quality customer service to all farmers and commercial truckers
- Complies, and ensures subcontractor complies, with corporate environment, health and safety policies and best practices
- Complies with environmental standards and all industry regulatory requirements and grading standards
- Operates Terminal control systems (for all provinces excluding Quebec)
- Complies with requirements of G3’s Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS)
- Ensures physical facilities are clean, efficient, and well-maintained and communicates maintenance needs as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned
