Join Global Reach’s industry-leading Operations team!
Global Reach is seeking an Operations Associate to join our branch Operations team. You will be responsible for assisting with operations functions for our branch in Toronto, including the processing of foreign exchange deals, international payments, and creation and maintenance of customer records. You are strongly self-motivated with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail. As this role will be supporting business for our eastern branches, the working hours will be between 8:00am-5:00pm EST Monday through Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Finance, Business, or Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Previous experience within the banking/financial services industry an asset
  • Experience with AML/CTF compliance in the financial industry an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail

Responsibilities:

In this role, you could be found doing any—or all—of these things on any given day:

  • Track sending and receiving of trade confirmations and authorizations
  • Monitor foreign exchange deals to ensure settlement by the applicable value date
  • Act as liaison between Canadian branch offices and head office for the purposes of facilitating the enrollment of new customers;
  • Review new customer applications and accompanying framework agreements to ensure documentation has been executed in accordance with internal policies and procedures;
  • Conduct basic Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) related Know-Your-Client (KYC) processes such as: cross-referencing customer information as collected from different sources; accessing corporate records from provincial or federal bodies;
  • Post internal entries for the management of customer accounts
  • Communicate with head office departments to resolve any issues
  • Communicate with front line sales staff to ensure customer service standards are met
  • Create templates for domestic and international payments
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily payments
  • Manage documents in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure policies and procedures are being followed within the branch
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Other responsibilities as required
