Position: Bulk Plant Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Demonstrated competence and attention to detail with numbers.
- Excellent in document housekeeping.
- Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of employees
- Ability to follow direction and procedures and work independently with flexible work habits, attitude, and adaptability *Good organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure, time constraints and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
- Valid BC Driver’s license and have their own method of transportation (can’t rely on rides).
- Clean record (attendance, and warnings)
* Must clear pre-hire checks: background check (criminal and reference checks) and medical exam
* Must have access to your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license as the terminal is not accessible by public transportation.
Work Environment : Must be willing to work outdoors throughout all weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Operates or learns to operate all transloading equipment, performs work safely and productively, as per company needs.
- Responsible for maintaining safe and clean work environment by performing housekeeping and clean up on waste or spilled product complying with all Company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs all duties safely in accordance with Company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
- Coordinate railcar moves with the loader operator to spot the hoppers to be unloaded. Once spotted, unload cars upon supervisor’s instructions and according to the company SOP’s.
- Maintain cleanliness around the pit, tipper, and inside of the plant.
- Maintaining inventory, ensuring there is enough supplies prior to loading the containers.
- Coordinate railcar switches with the supervisor and loader operator for each service as needed maintaining effective communication.
- Operate support machinery (bulk loading equipment, bobcat, cat forklift)
