JOB DESCRIPTION:

To be responsible for the forward rostering of our security officers across the company, ensuring we meet our customer contractual commitments for resources to protect their properties and people. Key to this will be ensuring that our employees have a sustainable work life balance and that appropriately trained personnel are deployed to our sites across the Northwest and East. This is a new role to the Company reflecting our continued growth and success in the industry and aligned with our plans for the implementation of a new ‘state of the art’ rostering system.
To be successful you will already have experience of high-volume system-based planning, preferably but not essentially of people resources, as this position will involve rostering 200 plus employees.
Reporting to our Head of Operations this role will also incorporate day to day management/supervision and direction of our Control Room team.
Hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Devising and completing all employee rotas in advance, working towards regularised working patterns and long-term advanced notice of shift allocations.
  • Responsible for the organisation of security officer availability, annual leave planning and dropped shift / absence cover (supported by our 24*7 Control Room).
  • Acquire an in depth understanding of the unique service delivery requirements of each customer site ensuring that we can meet all customer scheduled and ad hoc needs and that site specific requests are fulfilled to the customers satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain excellent, positive relationships with our customers and officers at all times.
  • Be proactive and forward thinking in the planning approach in order to achieve an optimised resource schedule that maximises flexibility.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the software tools and systems available to ensure we are using them in the most efficient and optimised way including devising and delivering meaningful reporting solutions in support of the operation of the business.
  • Liaise with HR and the Operations Management team to identify current and future recruitment needs and succession planning goals.
  • Day to day management of our Control Room
