Operations Controller

HOE ZAL JE BIJDRAGEN EN GROEIEN IN DEZE FUNCTIE?

As Operations Controller your mission is to coordinate the setting & implementation of strategic objectives, to provide analytical information by developing a deep understanding of business results, to quantify the impact of action plans and to validate business assumptions against historical experience.
You will perform variance analyses, analyse results, suggest corrective actions, drive and authorise investment processes, manage controlling referential, and coordinate strategic objective settings with the CFO.
In more detail, your responsibilities would look like this:
1. Establishing accurate business reporting with diagnosis based on facts

• Reviewing reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force. Overseeing the compliance with business rules and performs comparisons.

• Periodically monitoring, analysing and summarising: profit and loss account, cash flow, balance sheet, investments and others specific indicators linked to the business plan (profit per products) in close relation with CFO

1. Coordinates result analysis

• Performing analysis on sales (price/volume/flow); measuring impact on P&L

• Performing cost/suppliers analysis on purchased goods and energy supply (gas and electricity)

• Performing costs & variance analyses
• Reporting results and gaps and making comments/suggesting corrective actions to management committee in close coordination with the CFO
• Tracking the efficiency programs

1. Performs investment diagnostics and monitors the decision process

• Ensuring that investment decisions are adequately evaluated and that progress are measured and reported

• Contributing to the evaluation of investment projects and driving the decision process within the entity

• Anticipating trends, measuring consequences on the business plan and suggesting preventive action on the basis of your business knowledge
• In charge of the company’s asset optimization program to increase rotation and ROCE over time

1. Enhances the reporting systems

• Ensuring the compliance of the analytical structure to answer new business requirements or improve analysis

• Providing to cost and profit center responsible the relevant information to follow their field of responsibility

• Coordinating target process & standard price calculation
• Suggesting methods for improving the planning process as appropriate

KNOWLEDGE AND KNOWHOW SPECIFIC TO THE JOB

1. Strong knowledge of NAV & BI systems
2. Strong knowledge of Excel and Acess Database Management
3. Accounting and financial skills
4. Knowledge of key drivers in the business cycle and ideally in the healthcare industry
