The Opportunity
As an Operations Coordinator at Macquarie Centre, you will provide effective support to the Operations Team. This is a varied role, with a strong administrative and coordinative focus. The Operations Coordinator will diligently pursue best practice across Operations & Maintenance Coordinating, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Contractor Management & Governance, Environmental and Sustainable Performance and Operations Management Practice. All these elements have a strong administrative and coordinative focus. Please note given the customer facing nature of this role, it is based onsite 5 days per week at Macquarie Centre.

You will make an impact by:

  • Support the Operations Manager / Team in administering and leading the department.
  • Liaise and coordinate operational activities and service responses with retailers, shopping centre management departments and building owners to minimise impact on trade and maximise asset performance.
  • Assist with front office walk in enquiries and direct to appropriate department, greet retailers and contractors attending onsite meetings and direct to appropriate department.
  • Working with the operations team and contractors to ensure work requests are raised and progress through the workflow system within reasonable timeframes.
  • Manage the work request accruals on a regular basis ensuring work requests are closed out and invoiced within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Conduct regular building and car park inspections being vigilant of presentation, condition and safety and act on findings.
  • Supporting the operational team with the coordination of all engineering and adhoc services and contractors pursuant to the operation and function of the asset ensuring appropriate contracts agreed service levels are in place.
  • Uphold site induction guidelines including awareness of Dexus policies and procedures and manage site access and permit requirements.

About You

You may come from support level role with a strong administrative and customer focus. Whilst you may have shopping centre administration experience, what is more desirable is wanting to forge a lasting career in retail facilities management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organised and precise, with sound attention to detail.
  • Operationally focused and process driven, you can anticipate needs and ensure follow through.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, including Word and Excel.
