Description:

Main Purpose:

The Operations Coordinator is primarily accountable for:

  • Leading the Bitumen Operations Excellence Program globally through the implementation of operational guidelines, quality control, improvement in equipment reliability, constant innovation, cost reduction, training, verification and continuous process improvement.

  • Engage, support and continuously improve communication processes that support the quality management system and provide positive outcomes for the business, customers and key stakeholders.

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Qualifications that best support this role are tertiary education in an Engineering related discipline or relevant Trade Certification.

Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • > 5 years of experience in frontline industrial operations, Bitumen experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and work collaboratively with others
  • Effective communicator
  • Knowledge of relevant industry safety, engineering standards and trade practices
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly regarding processing equipment
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong customer focus and self-motivated to identify and implement operational improvements
  • Strong computer skills using Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and globally
