Description:

The Operations Engineer is responsible for serving as a customer service role and resource that equally supports DWS Field Operations, Business Development, and Maintenance. It is expected that this position will handle pre-well planning, well modeling, daily data surveillance and QC, providing real time recommendations (to customer, DWS operations or business development), completing customer KPI review and leveraging our Data Acquisition System to create comprehensive post-well reviews.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or other technical degree.
Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Operations related roles
Experience in data surveillance on drilling or completions operations.
Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
Experience interacting with customers and providing solutions to real time problems.
Presentation experience, both building and leading presentations.
Capable of working on multiple projects at the same time
Good communication skills, capable of training the end users on the usage and capabilities of has been created
Other Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the completion of post-well reports and operations reviews
Assist with preparation of equipment diagrams and well modeling
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Assist with multiple projects across departments like Field Operations, Maintenance and BD
Prepare and present customer KPI reviews
Provide remote and on-site support when requested by Field Operations Team
Available to travel to field as required to review performance with Field Operations Team
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive active, and associated technology
Ensures a safe work environment and promotes safety culture
Availability to be on call 24/7 as required by the operation
Monitor and analyze fleet wide operations performance, identifying areas of improvement
Evaluate the effectiveness of operations changes for improvement
Support root cause analysis of operation issues and recommend corrective actions
Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
