JOB SUMMARY:
TINA provides shared services to North American entities of TICO, Japan. TINA’s Information Technology team provides IT shared services to numerous locations (subsidiaries) across North America. These IT shared services include data center and cloud IaaS, LAN/WAN, information security, server/desktop management, desk phone administration, active directory administration, email, and IT consulting services.
The TINA IT SecOps Engineer III is pivotal in securing the organization’s IT infrastructure by assessing vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures, and mitigating risks. They collaborate with operations to prioritize and address security technology needs, ensuring effective management and performance of critical security platforms such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions. Their responsibilities include monitoring security platforms, investigating and responding to security incidents, and working with vendors and internal teams to resolve security issues and enhancements. Additionally, they remain current on industry trends, conduct threat hunting, and participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security risks. Their expertise will ensure the organization’s systems remain secure against unauthorized access and cyber-attacks.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive understanding of IT security principles, including network, system, and application security protocols.
- Proven experience in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various IT systems to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Proficiency in implementing, configuring, and overseeing the management of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions.
- Strong skills in monitoring IT systems, analyzing logs, and responding effectively to security incidents and alerts.
- Ability to collaborate with operations, vendors, and internal teams to resolve security issues and enhance security measures across all IT systems.
- Experience in threat hunting, detecting, and investigating Level “A” incidents, and conducting thorough security analyses.
- Commitment to staying current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging threats to continuously improve overall IT security posture.
- Exceptional analytical skills for identifying security vulnerabilities within IT systems and problem-solving abilities to implement effective security measures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex security issues and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT Operations to identify and prioritize security technology needs for initiatives.
- Implement, configure, and oversee MSP management of security technology (FW, IPS, EP, EDR, SIEM, etc.) that has been reviewed/designed by Security Architecture.
- Monitor and Analyze security platform performance and effectiveness.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts for individual users.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve security issues and enhancements.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging threats.
- Threat hunting and detection for user incidents, security analysis, and threat investigations.
- Implement and maintain the organization’s network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and secure remote access solutions according to design.
- Participate in network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Implement security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access and attacks.
- Analyze logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
