Job Title: Operations Engineering Intern or Summer Student ~ RQ 24-48 ~

We are searching for an eager Operations Engineering Intern or Summer Student. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Engineering, you will be working closely with our Engineering team. You will have the opportunity to work with a practicing professional engineer and gain exposure to day-to-day operations and maintenance. Providing support and assistance to the Field Operations team, you will assist on capital projects with planned exposure to process, piping, E/I, regulatory, production, asset integrity and measurement.
This is a position based out of Calgary. The Intern position is full-time with a start date of May 2025 for 8-12 months. The Summer Student role is a 4-month term from May – August 2025.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Update facility “As-Built” drawings
- Compressor performance modelling and analysis
- Assist with management of change projects (information gathering, document control, cost estimating, drawing reviews, project execution etc.)
- Coordination and reporting of regulatory initiatives
- Relief operating for vacation coverage
- Assist in GHG reduction and emissions control projects
- Chase OPEX reduction initiatives
Your Qualifications:
- Eligible candidates will have completed their 2nd or 3rd year in a mechanical, chemical, or petroleum university program will be returning to school following the end of the work term
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Prior experience in oil and gas considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated desire to learn and develop their skills
