Job Mission
The Operations expert is part of the Operations (Ops) department and joins the Oversight Control Operations team (OCO) with the mission of monitoring the operations with Private Bank and Corporate Bank.
He/she assist the Operations manager in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities and reporting. The function has a transversal mandate and oversees operations in a complex environment with international teams and external vendors.
Your key accountabilities:
· Business Management Support & Cross functional topics:
- You monitor and control departmental budget and FTE.
- You compile and analyze relevant statistical data (e.g. volumes) to assess departmental performance.
- You ensure local and group reporting; you prepare reports and presentations for management and internal stakeholders.
- You coordinate transversal tasks/requests within Private Bank Operations (e.g. Business Continuity Management, record inventory, …).
· Support team leaders in the review of Processes and Procedures (focus on Risk Assessment):
- You regularly review and evaluate existing operational processes with a focus on risk assessment.
- You propose improvements and optimizations to enhance efficiency and mitigate operational risk.
- You ensure compliance with bank regulations and internal standards.
- You manage small changes portfolio.
- You ensure coordination of delivery with all partners involved.
Key Profile
· You have a first relevant professional experience in a finance/operations environment. Knowledge of banking processes is a plus (notions of risk management, business management, process management and change management)
· You have a good understanding of potential risks associated with process changes and strategies to mitigate them or you are willing to acquire this expertise.
· You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to deal with complex data & perform swift analysis and to propose solutions.
· You are able to translate complex analysis in easy-to-understand conclusions.
· You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong stakeholder management skills able to handle transversal performance with various stakeholders (managers, vendors, Ops teams, Risk management, Finance, HR, …) and to liaise with different counter-parts.
· Able to structure and monitor delivery and demonstrate high attention to detail.
· Flexible, adaptable, and keen to learn and develop business knowledge.
· Good knowledge of MS Office
· You are fluent in English, business proficient in French or Dutch.
