Description:
FULL-TIME, PERMANENT
Consolidated Gypsum Supply Ltd. is a well-established building supplies distribution company looking to expand our Operations department in Edmonton.
We are looking for hands-on leaders who thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our Operations team. Are you experienced in leading a team of warehouse/yard material handlers? Or do you have experience dispatching short-haul trucks within city routes and surrounding areas?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive daily operational activities in a hands-on manner to meet productivity goals, while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Supervise, mentor and motivate a team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure all customer needs and specifications are met
- Coordinate and dispatch crews to deliver building supplies, ensuring all specifications are met with accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in leadership role within operations, preferably in the building supply industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of freight, various types of fleet, D.O.T rules and experience with traffic controlling an asset
