Description:

We are seeking an Operations/General Manager for a new boutique fitness studio, and subsequent Member’s Club, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the brand’s future success. This is a unique opportunity to oversee every aspect of the studio’s launch, from staffing and operations to member experience, with the option to then advance into a senior leadership role as Head of Operations for the whole group. If you’re a motivated leader with a proven track record in boutique fitness and a vision for expansion, we want to hear from you.

  • Salary: £45,000
  • Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)
  • Leave: 25 Days per annum (plus bank holidays).
  • Complimentary membership to have full access to all classes, biohackings anddiscounts on retail

THE PERSON…

  • Strong Leadership and people management skills.
  • Proven experience no less than 1 years in operations management, within the wellness, and hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in operational software and tools for analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Exceptional service standards and customer focus.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages (Windows, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • A confident and clear communicator.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well presented with good written and spoken English.
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient, enthusiastic team player and contributor.
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE…

Working with the launch consultant to bring this studio to life, as part of a members club, which is opening several sites in West London.

  • Operational Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall performance.
  • Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of the spaces, ensuring they align with the brand’s standards of relaxation and wellness.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide the Front of House team, fostering a cohesive environment that promotes exceptional service delivery.
  • New Hire Inductions: Conduct comprehensive company inductions for new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel in their roles.
  • Health and Safety Oversight: Implement and maintain health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance and a safe environment for both customers and staff.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain a safe environment for customers and employees, and implement necessary protocols.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, control costs, and identify areas for financial improvement.
  • Customer Experience: Work closely with customer service teams to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and resolve any operational issues promptly.
