Description:

About the role
The National Disability Research Partnership (NDRP) funds research led by and with people with disability. We are looking for a highly organised Operations Lead to join our small, dynamic team to provide high level administrative and systems support as we get set up and grow.
We are building a diverse team and strongly encourage people with disability to apply. This is a flexible, work from home position that actively supports inclusion and accessibility.

Important notes

  • This is a new role, created to help the NDRP get established and deliver its program of work.
  • We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
  • It is a part time role (half time or three days per week) with flexible hours.
  • Join a small team of up to 5 people, all working from anywhere in Australia.
  • Level 7 role with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.

About the role
The role will involve administrative support for the NDRP research funding rounds, secretariat support for the Board and governance groups, finance administration, and developing systems and processes for contract management and other operational requirements.

Tasks will include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Develop and implement administrative systems.
  • Provide executive support to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Provide high quality secretariat support to the Board and other governance groups.
  • Provide support for the NDRP’s research funding rounds and other major programs, including coordinating applications, contracts, invoices, and reporting.
  • Act as first point of contact for external contacts with the NDRP.
  • Coordinate contractors and consultants who support the NDRP with systems and processes.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation for NDRP staff and Directors.

There will be lots of opportunities to get involved in a range of projects, as we will have a small team who will all pitch in and support each other.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for people who are organised, enjoy creating good systems and processes and enjoy working with a team.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Ability to set up and coordinate administrative and operational systems.
  • Experience in providing executive or administrative support e.g. scheduling, organising calendars, taking minutes, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team and to take initiative, be flexible and creative.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to come up with solutions and ideas.
  • A commitment to a human rights based approach and the NDRP principles.
  • Lived experience of disability would be ideal but isn’t essential.
