Description:

Peppers Beach Club & Spa, located in the idyllic beachside destination of Palm Cove, just 30 minutes north of Cairns in Far North Queensland, is a perfect blend of plantation charm and beach chic. The resort offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from hotel rooms to one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. The food and beverage offerings include La Mesa restaurant, which seats up to 80 guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as the On the Rocks swim-up pool bar and bespoke conferencing facilities for up to 100 guests.
Purpose
As the Operations Manager at Peppers Beach Club & Spa you will focus on fostering a positive guest experience, maximising revenue, and ensuring seamless and efficient operations across all areas of the property with a key focus on Food and Beverage operations.

The Role

  • This position offers the opportunity to sponsor under the FNQ DAMA Visa
  • Working closely with the General Manager, overseeing all operations at Peppers Beach Club & Spa with a Key focus on Food and Beverage Operations

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with rooms division departmental leaders
  • Take charge of all Food and Beverage Operations at the resort
  • Engage in forward planning and strategic thinking for future success to ensure profitable operation across all departments
  • Set performance benchmarks and define expectations across departments to continuously enhance and uphold service standards
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and security measures with guests, staff, and property in mind
  • Address and find solutions to operational issues and challenges
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to empower teams in developing their own expertise and personal growth

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring robust expertise in Food and Beverage Management, including:

  • A deep and comprehensive understanding of Food & Beverage Operations, including restaurants, bars, and events
  • A solid grasp of overall hotel operations
  • Proven financial and business acumen
  • Genuine and effective communicator, adept at managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding organisational skills with a keen ability to prioritise tasks and respond promptly
  • Poised and composed, even in high-pressure situations
