QUALIFICATIONS

  • Agricultural experience is an asset;
  • Minimum 5 years operations management experience;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changes on short notice;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to adjust your style to diverse groups of employees, managers, and clients;
  • A positive attitude;
  • Ability to work extended hours and be on-call as needed;
  • Willingness to learn MOE and NASM Regulations as they apply to Wessuc’s operations;
  • Flexibility to travel within throughout Ontario on a regular basis;
  • Computer skills across a range of software platforms.

Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager oversees the efficient management of Wessuc’s Land Application and Haulage teams, providing leadership, setting performance targets, and ensuring regulatory compliance while promoting a culture of safety and collaboration. By optimizing resource allocation, planning and scheduling, they drive operational excellence and contribute to the company’s growth and success in the wastewater management industry.

As the Operations Manager for our Agricultural division, you will:

  • Lead and guide Land Coordinators, Supervisors, and Field Operations to align with company goals and values;
  • Set performance targets, monitor progress, and support land application teams in achieving objectives through regular reviews and feedback;
  • Optimize fleet performance, overseeing the Dispatcher and prioritizing haulage activities to maximize efficiency;
  • Ensure compliance with MOE, NASM, and OMAFRA regulations, fostering a safety-first culture through training, audits, and inspections;
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop quotes, identify opportunities, and deliver client-focused solutions;
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, driving growth and ensuring service excellence; and
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving work environment.
