JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our aluminum and glass fabrication operations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and optimize production processes, ensure quality control, maintain inventory, and drive efficiency across all facets of the manufacturing process. The Operations Manager will work closely with various departments, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to meet customer demands and ensure smooth operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within an aluminum or glass fabrication environment (5+ years).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and implement data-driven decisions.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in the use of production management software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of industry-specific machinery and equipment (e.g., CNC machines, glass cutting tools, welding/fabrication tools).
• Project management experience.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification (preferred).

• Production Management: Oversee all aspects of production, ensuring that aluminum and glass products are fabricated efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and meet performance targets.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a team of production workers, technicians, and supervisors. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
• Inventory Control: Manage raw material inventory, ensuring that the right materials are available for production while minimizing waste and stockouts.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain consistency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Scheduling and Resource Planning: Plan and manage production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and resolve any production delays or bottlenecks.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and protocols.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the operations budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
• Customer Coordination: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and meet specifications.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular operational reports to senior management, including performance metrics, production output, and cost analysis.
• Problem Solving: Address operational challenges quickly and effectively, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
