Responsibilities:
Full site responsibility for overseeing the distribution functions, including order processing, picking, Packing, shipping, and receiving. You will also maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure we are fulfilling all orders.
Be responsible for achieving the defined operational targets and business objectives whilst being involved in the ongoing growth and development of the Distribution Centre team. You will also play a key role in projects such as the relocation to our brand-new facility.
This role will work closely with the operations leadership to manage its daily activities spanning across 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday.
At a national level you will work with your peers from the other states, leveraging synergies and be fully engaged on operational improvement initiatives. You will be a contributor to continuous improvement, idea generation and national project/task management when required.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- P&L operational expenses and key performance indicators including productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Recruiting, managing, and mentoring teams’ operations management, who are responsible for the incoming, stock control, outbound picking, deliveries and shipping.
- High level of experience in inventory integrity (loss prevention activities) - to increase team productivity, decrease shrinkage, reduce damaged goods, improve quality control and other key financial performance objectives.
- High level of experience in managing distribution. We operate out of one warehouse, but our logistics spans across the metropolitan and regional areas of Queensland including the northern rivers of NSW.
- Ensuring KPI’s are exceeded through leadership, planning, focus, and also including safety, environment, administration, and operational performance.
- Compliance with legislative WHS requirements and maintaining up to date team training.
- Setting an example for team members and the organisation as a whole of commitment, business process and activities, work ethics, habits and personal character.
