YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field required.
• Current, or eligible for, registration/license with appropriate health association/discipline in Nova Scotia required.
• Masters level preparation an asset.
• Minimum three (3) years healthcare related experience.
• Minimum two (2) years’ related leadership experience required.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
• Experience with best practices for patient safety, quality review, reporting events, investigation and follow up of events utilizing the event reporting system, disclosure and patient feedback preferred
• Demonstrated excellent leadership and team-building skills required.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and sustain internal/external partnerships.
• Knowledgeable in the concepts of program-based care and patient/family-centred care required.
• Knowledgeable in the concepts of Family Integrated Care and Trauma Informed Care required.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams with a strong track record of continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills required.
• Demonstrates high degree of confidentiality and discretion required.
• Demonstrated expert negotiation and conflict resolution skills required.
• Must be proactive, problem solution-focused, analytical and innovative.
• Competency in other languages is an asset.
