We’re looking for a people orientated Operations Manager to lead, manage and develop the performance of our home delivery, warehouse and support teams at our Basingstoke site. Working with another Operations Manager you’ll ensure the successful performance of our delivery network with teams doing up to 3500 customer deliveries a week rising to 7500 during our busy periods. Empowering and coaching your four First Line Manager direct reports, together you’ll make sure your varied teams of circa 120 warehouse, transport, technical and support colleagues are always striving to deliver the best service for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Operational management of the site, staffing and other resources across a seven-day a week operation over 24 hours
- Using data and performance analytics to provide the site with meaningful insights.
- Driving the performance of the delivery teams against KPIs and customer metrics.
- Making operational decisions to meet business and customer requirements.
- Leading and motivating teams, providing regular on the job feedback and mentoring to maximise performance.
- Identifying potential operational improvements to contribute to the development of supply chain operations.
- Implementing central initiatives to ensure delivery of new ways of working.
- Supporting the management of the site Operating licence.
- Working alongside our Stores to deliver a first class customer service experience
- Ensuring that all colleagues are adhering to Health and Safety and company policies.
