OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead a chromite project from development to full operation. This newly created role is for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in mining, feasibility studies, and chromite mine development. The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the project, including P&L, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and the successful sale of the chromite product.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 12+ years of mining experience, including 5+ years in senior management roles.
• Extensive experience in project construction, delivery, and mining operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including budgeting and performance monitoring.
• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to navigate complex socio-political and economic factors in the mining industry.
• Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, or related field.

• Develop and execute strategies to drive the project from development to construction and operation, on time and within budget.
• Oversee all mining activities, from planning to implementation, with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement.
• Manage geotechnical, blasting, hauling, loading, and transportation of ore and concentrate.
• Lead the operational functions post-construction, including planning, geology, processing, and maintenance.
• Recruit and manage the project team, ensuring optimal performance and expertise.
• Foster an environmentally conscious and safe working culture.
• Ensure effective financial management to deliver cost-effective outcomes.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive concrete product sales, meeting revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government officials, and industry professionals.
