Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team in Hamilton and support our successful commercialization of the eShepherd virtual fencing products to our markets.
In this role you will work with a wider eShepherd team along with our core Gallagher business to support impactful implementation of processes and efficiencies for supporting the business and customers with their eShepherd requirements and concerns. This is an on-site role located in our Hamilton office.
In this role, you’ll successfully support the eShepherd team. This will include:
- Build and oversee operational processes and systems that support manufacturing and supply chain.
- Globally coordinate the delivery of eShepherd technology out to our regional offices, maintaining supply.
- At times be a jack of all trades, willing to deal with situations which require timely and responsive attention. Resolve any product issues experienced by our customer-facing support teams. This may involve coordinating solutions with our (tier 3) development teams.
- Contribute to procurement and forecasting processes with a team, ensuring alignment across business.
With an ability to communicate with a diverse internal and external network, you will be able to understand the eShepherd supply chain. This role will require some of the following:
- Knowledge of the logistics and supply chain functions and an ability to support continued efficiencies in this space
- Knowledge of databases / ERP with an ability to leverage current systems for process improvement and decision making
- Familiar with practices supporting procurement and forecasting
- Some knowledge or experience working with technical / software and hardware solutions
- An ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- An ability to prioritise work based on impact and value.
- An understanding of animal farming business, technology, and practices would be advantageous
