Description:

Operations Manager
The Operations Manager provides administrative, leadership and strategic oversight for our janitorial business line for Everclean Facilities site operations. The Operations Manager takes direction from the Director of Operations to manage business development and client relationships that pertain to the janitorial business line for Everclean Facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers license.
  • Strong ability to build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence and build people. Expert coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Honesty, discipline, and commitment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and awareness of discrepancies in the environment and relationships
  • Proven experience as an Operations subject matter expert
  • In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite.
  • Undergraduate degree in a business discipline or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
  • 3 years of experience as an Operations Manager in the facilities and/or janitorial industry.

    We are currently seeking a Full Time Operations Manager to to join our Janitorial Facility Services business line in Vancouver BC!

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to bids and quotes as required
  • Maintains high quality client relationships through audits, meetings and visits.
  • Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency service efficiency, customer service, and resource efficiency.
  • Reviews performance against operating plans and standards.
  • Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
  • Presents monthly reports on performance as requested by the Director of Operations.
  • Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations Department.
  • Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Operations.
  • Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates
  • Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
  • Reviews and approves the setting of budgets throughout the Operations Department.
  • Reviews and approves Operations major projects involving major functional changes within the Department’s functional areas.
  • Develops plans for new areas of technology for the division along with sufficient planning for areas that support the mission of the Corporation within Operations.
  • Issues specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives of the Operations division.
  • Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and recommends compensation for them.
  • Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of units immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination between activities.
  • Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, recommends effective personnel action.
  • Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination.
  • Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action.
  • Ensures compliance within area of responsibility.
  • Manage and coordinate special project works for high profile clients.
  • Flexibility to cover site managers on site.
  • Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and endorses or revises budget proposals received from direct reports.
  • Approves budget expenses up to authorized dollar amounts.
  • Provides orientation and on-the-job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.
  • Managing a variety of sanitation sites and shopping centres.
