Description:
Gilmours Manukau is a family-owned business within the Foodstuffs group of companies. We supply food and beverages to people who get paid to feed others, in the South and East Auckland area.
We have grown significantly in the last two years and have may projects under way to continue our trajectory.
Following the promotion of the incumbent to another store, the owner is in need of a solid, hands-on 2nd in charge who thrives in an environment that changes rapidly, runs 24hours a day with a team of 120 people getting our customers’ needs to their door for thousands of customers per week, whilst maintaining a large retail environment for the other half who come to us to shop.
You will need to be:
- Experienced in wholesale supply preferably Food Service related,
- Able to pick up new systems quickly – currently SAP based and moving part of the business to EWM,
- Able to work alongside people from all walks of life, give them a sense of purpose, foster a fun work environment whilst dealing with any performance issues,
- Process and improvement driven with the ability to take people on the journey with you,
- Excited to be in an environment where no two days are the same.
It would also be beneficial if you have forklift experience and a class two license.
A sense of humour is a must!
The role will assume day to day responsibility via a team of managers and supervisors for the following functions:
Health & Safety
Pick Pack
Replenishment
Delivery
Stock Control
Compliance
Site Maintenance
Human Resources
Ordinary hours pf work are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm however the nature of the role requires flexibility.
