As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking an Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and support the growth of our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable products to our global customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong background in engineering with experience in manufacturing or related fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with prior team management experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in PC tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data.
  • A passion for driving positive change and fostering professional development within teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • HNC or equivalent in an Engineering-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Actively pursue and align departmental activities with the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Oversee operational activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Assurance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance protocols.
  • Enhance the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to optimize organizational capacity.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as Production Engineering, to drive process improvements and operational performance.
  • Workforce Management & Development:
  • Track staffing requirements and manage recruitment to meet operational demands.
  • Support and develop the shop floor workforce through appraisals, pay reviews, HR support, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving positive change across teams.
  • Customer Experience & Issue Resolution:
  • Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise solutions to improve the customer experience.
  • Actively address and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Planning & Support:
  • Support the generation, review, and monitoring of progress against the operations delivery plan.
  • Work closely with the management team to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring effective execution.
  • Provide critical support to the Production Manager across all operational areas.
