Here at Holroyd Howe, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee and manage a portfolio of established and new clients based across Sussex.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Operations Manager to make a name for themselves within the food service industry and be a part of setting the new standard for education catering.
Job Description
The successful Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of catering operations, including planning, logistics, execution, and will require proven outstanding client relationship management. This is a high-pressure role that requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.
- Maximise performance of the team through positive and effective leadership, combined with support and coaching
- To form and maintain a culture where individual and team development is encouraged, service standards are constantly reviewed and improved upon.
- Achieve and improve all financial targets.
- Ensure all company and legislative Health & Safety requirements are achieved
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and confident communicator with senior management and at board level.
- Excellent commercial and strategic acumen
- The ability to be able to identify new opportunities and develop strategies for maximising them
- To deliver an excellent food offering which is continuously reviewed and challenged to make sure it meets customer expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar environment at a senior management level
- A proven, hands-on leader, able to invest in your team and their development
- Naturally outgoing and vibrant, display a real passion for food and customer service
- Excellent Health & Safety knowledge
- Financially astute and have strong IT literacy
- Innovative, creative and driven by excellence
- Stay up to date with current food trends
- Possess great organisation skills, exceptional communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent understanding of report writing and financial management
- Successful progressive background in catering, hospitality, retail at the relevant level
- Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to devise and implement strategies to benefit both the company and the client.
