Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead the landfill operations at our Ti-Tree Bioenergy facility (Willowbank 4306). In this leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, visible leadership and a strong commitment to ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operations that comply with legal, environmental and ethical standards while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of landfill operations including waste disposal, landfill gas capture, compaction, waste acceptance and compliance with regulations/licences.
- Providing strategic leadership to the team, including setting goals and objectives, managing performance, and offering guidance and support to drive achievement of site plans.
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams, contractors, government entities and the local community.
- Implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement, operational optimization and cost efficiencies.
- Demonstrating visible leadership and promoting Veolia’s “Always Safe Culture”, ensuring the workplace is safe at all times.
