Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct operational activities to ensure orders are made and dispatched on time in full (OTIF).
  • Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations - perform shift handovers and driver de briefs.
  • Assess key performance indicators (KPI’s), and take appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, safety and quality goals are met.
  • Maintain a robust stock management process and month end counts.
  • Evaluate operational performance, by completing OEE, Shift handover meetings, Engineering Projects, and 1:1’s.
  • Ensure required documentation (compliance, Environmental, Safety and financial) are completed and transacted correctly.
  • Understand company and site-specific policies, procedures, and other documentation. Actively train to all staff to ensure consistency across the site.
  • Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Coordinate resource to ensure holidays are covered and that the overtime budget is controlled.
  • Effectively schedule and deliver Planned Maintenance for the mill and vehicle fleet.
  • Develop and implement SWPs and SOP’s as part of the continuous site and people development.
  • Review complaints to understand the root cause and shard learnings.
  • Maintain collaborative cross functional relationship - Daily Operations and transport call.
  • Ensure that all UFAS, environmental, H&S and NWF site compliance standards are always maintained and adhered to. Assisting with audits and corrective actions
