Job Responsibilities
- Manage all bargaining unit staff regarding scheduling and hours of work
- Act as liaison for facility with North Service Road and Transportation
- Act as liaison for IT between NSR and Market
- Act as agent for company regarding all Collective Agreement issues
- Train, enforce, and follow all Food Safety and Health and Safety policies
- Act as point of contact for all food safety related issues including CFIA, OMAFRA, and Food Safety Systems
- Address and approve payroll issues weekly/daily
- Communicate with all staff regarding buying, ordering and workflow
- JHSC and OHS facilitator for the facility
- Employee performance management
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in managing teams
- Able to deal effectively and courteously with all stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a sense of urgency
- Must be able to work well with people and co-operate with all levels of the organization
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Post-Secondary Education in Business and Agriculture is an asset
