Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all bargaining unit staff regarding scheduling and hours of work
  • Act as liaison for facility with North Service Road and Transportation
  • Act as liaison for IT between NSR and Market
  • Act as agent for company regarding all Collective Agreement issues
  • Train, enforce, and follow all Food Safety and Health and Safety policies
  • Act as point of contact for all food safety related issues including CFIA, OMAFRA, and Food Safety Systems
  • Address and approve payroll issues weekly/daily
  • Communicate with all staff regarding buying, ordering and workflow
  • JHSC and OHS facilitator for the facility
  • Employee performance management
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in managing teams
  • Able to deal effectively and courteously with all stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to work well with people and co-operate with all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Post-Secondary Education in Business and Agriculture is an asset
