Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Flexibility is required to meet with the demands of the business

Ornua is actively seeking an Operations Manager to join our Operations department as we continue our growth trajectory. The Operations Manager will play a key role in leading the production team of the Nantwich factory, driving operational excellence to ensure that production is efficient and effective, meeting customer expectations in line with all relevant quality, service, legal and regulatory standards, and obligations.

Responsibilities:

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:

As our next Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading on;
Driving operational excellence to ensure that production is efficient and effective, meeting customer expectations in line with all relevant quality, service, legal and regulatory standards, and obligations.
To set targets for labour and materials handling. Monitor its control and take corrective actions where necessary.
To drive output and line efficiencies to and beyond budgeted levels by maximising the potential of the people, plant and time available.
Plan, develop and maintain operational structure within the Production / Manufacturing Services area to ensure correct allocation of duties, authority and responsibility.
To maintain high levels of service to internal and external customers, developing a positive relationship with fellow Departmental heads to improve the profitability of the business.
Regularly monitor the wastage targets within the production process, and take necessary action to improve levels through improvement, innovation and people involvement.
To provide the Operations Director with a performance progress report on a monthly basis highlighting financial costs and any required actions for improvement.
Ensure all CI projects for Operations are maintained and driven with any shortfall in delivery supported with recovery plan to ensure targets are met.
Deliver all People processes, including targets, talent and succession.
Understand and own the OEE for operations and where required develop plans to ensure targets are met.
Own the Operations Budget for site and support the implementation of CAPEX projects on site through developed business cases and change initiatives.
Own the resolution and response for customer complaints and internal rejections, leading the investigation, undertaking root cause analysis, overseeing corrective actions and preventative measures in a timely manner that meets with customer expectations and prevents recurrence.
