- Key Leadership role driving programme and service development and improvement.
- Oversee the Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service for Starship Child Health, a national service as an Operations Manager
- Permanent, Full Time
TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a candidate with broad management skills to help us drive operational improvements across the Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service. You need to be flexible, forward-thinking and energetic. A can-do attitude is essential, as well as the ability to align implementation with strategic priorities and principles that support the delivery of high-quality equitable health care.
You will be a standout when it comes to developing and working through implementation plans and operationalising strategies. You will have the capacity to focus on overseeing business as usual while driving programme and service development and improvement.
You will require excellent communication and relationship skills to foster collaboration across a number of sub-services and teams. You will be versatile, proactive and solutions-focused. Your business operation skills will be broad and include human resources, contract management, financial management, project management and continuous improvement.

NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS
You will need to be committed to applying the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your day-to-day work and decision-making. You will also need to be committed to implementing services and approaches that address health inequities for Māori.
Ideally, you will have worked in a health setting and have experience designing, implementing and improving whānau-centred services.
You will be people-focused and be an influencer with strong leadership skills and three to five years of operational experience.
